The Chinese government moved its capital from Nanjing to Chongqing at the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War in 1937. After debates, the Korean Provisional Government also moved to Chongqing. Independence movement leaders and their families that had been scattered in different places gathered in Nanjing, went through Changsha and Guangzhou, and arrived in Liuzhou. This is where the hotel Lequn Club was located in the 1930s and 1940s. In the late 1930s, leaders from the Korean Provisional Government stayed here for a while. Liuzhou City assumes this to be the spot where the Provisional Government was headquartered in Liuzhou. This memorial hall was opened in 2004. Date: November 1938 - April 1939 Address: 1 Liushi-lu, Liuzhou-shi
