Jiaxing_Kim Gu’s hideout in Jiaxing
Immediately after Yun Bonggil’s assassination attempt, Kim Gu hid at the house of American Pastor George A. Fitch in Shanghai. The Japanese police offered a 600,000 yuan reward for Kim Gu. One silver yuan (also known as dayang) was worth approximately six U.S. dollars today. This is the place where Kim Gu hid with a young boatwoman, Zhu Aibao, after changing his name and disguising himself as a Chinese from Guangdong. Even other Provisional Government members who lived within 300m did not notice that Kim Gu was staying so closely while the Japanese desperately searched for him. Date: 1932 Address: 76 Meiwan-jie, Nandang-nong, Jiaxing-shi
