Kim Gu stayed at 76 Mei Wan Jie, Jiaxing for a while, but had to leave due to even more extensive searches by the Japanese police. With the help of Chinese Chu Fucheng, Kim took refuge at a country house in Haiyan-xian of the Zhu family, wife of Chu Fengzhang, Chu Fucheng’s son. Kim was able to relax for the first time since he went into exile in China. However, in case he might be found, Kim Gu escaped back to Jiaxing. In 1996, the Cultural Relic Management Department of Haiyan-xian renovated the house where Kim stayed and installed an exhibition about Kim Gu. In 2001, Jiaxing city established an exhibition hall next to the Zhu family’s country house, Zaiqing Villa, in Haiyan-xian. Date: 1932 Address: Nanbeihu, Haiyan-xian, Jiaxing-shi
