These photographs were submitted to the National Institute of Korean History along with the photos of the activities of the Yangji-ri womens’ group. The album records the work to improve roofs in Yangji-ri in 1976. There are still people who stuck to their thatched roofs, but there are also those who improved their roofs. The village head or New Village leader recorded the householders’ names one by one, and we know that they surveyed these people on the state of their participation in the New Village work.
